As most of the U.S. is poised to close out the year still under some form of coronavirus-related restrictions, restaurants and consumers have had to get creative.
The breakfast segment and family dining has been particularly hard hit, as workers work from home and forgo their usual early-daypart stop for coffee or morning sandwiches. But for some, the pandemic shift has meant longer, luxurious breakfasts and lunches with a later end times, and those concepts are taking advantage.
Several new breakfast spots have opened up during the pandemic to sold out crowds while others have begun to franchise.
