Masala Chai

INGREDIENTS:4 tsp. whole coriander
½ star anise
4 cinnamon sticks, broken
1 tsp. whole black peppercorns
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cardamom pods
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. dried orange peel
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
3 qts. water
3 tea bags, black or tea blend
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
to taste, honey and milk DIRECTIONS:Combine first eight, coarsely ground ingredients in small bowl. Mix in ginger and nutmeg. Pour water and spices into large stockpot. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Add teabags and vanilla extract and steep for 3-5 minutes. Strain liquid into large pitcher.
