Tech Tracker: Rick Bayless turns to ghost kitchens; delivery moves from Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Little Caesars

Tune in Oct. 15: Senior Editor Nancy Luna will be moderating a Restaurants Rise powered by MUFSO session on “Touchless Tech” with panelists from White Castle, El Pollo Loco and Tocaya Organica

Today’s special edition of Tech Tracker looks at the latest ghost kitchen, contactless payment and delivery news tied Taco Bell, celebrity chef Rick Bayless, DoorDash, McDonald’s, Little Caesars and Olive Garden.

But before we get into that, I would like to remind readers to tune into our Restaurants Rise powered by MUFSO sessions. We have a lot of tech-related sessions during the virtual event, which is being held online every Tuesday and Thursday in October.

On Thursday, I will be moderating a session on “Touchless Tech” with top technology leaders from White Castle, El Pollo Loco and Tocaya Organica. We’ll be chatting about how QR codes are being used in dining rooms, automation at the drive-thru and kitchen and frictionless curbside pickup.
