Flavor of the Week

London Fog and its many variations

London Fogs — Earl Grey tea lattes with steamed milk and vanilla — are growing on U.S. restaurant menus because of their blend of citrus and deep warming notes. A classic tea drink, the London Fog’s variations have made it all the way to bar and ice-cream parlor menus.

While the London Fog is still fairly unknown to U.S. consumers — just a quarter said they know it, and only 9% said they have tried one — there is real room for this flavor to grow beyond the tea it’s named for. In the last four years alone, its appearance on menus across the country has already spiked 173%, now being on 0.6% of U.S. menus.
