Iced tea has increasingly been embraced at the bar, offering not only a non-alcoholic option but also one that packs plenty of punch with booze.
At the Double O Grill, Amanda Ferguson has been making long-steeped green tea and adding raspberries, mint and peaches through the summer. That made for a terrific mocktail alone, she said. But more often now, guests are seeking hard iced tea cocktails.
The spiked version includes Jameson, which has been a hit. What began as a special stayed on the menu through the summer and into the fall.
Guests say it’s refreshing and light, and they can enjoy more than one, she said. “The recipe has been trending on Pinterest for months.”
