Look who’s franchising now: winter edition

Six early and mid-stage concepts are looking for franchisees this quarter, from Indian street food to a Southern breakfast spot

As the coronavirus pandemic has created some major industry setbacks alongside unusual real estate opportunities in the restaurant industry, up and coming restaurants are taking their chances on expanding their concepts by announcing franchising this quarter.

Southern cuisine seems to reign supreme this quarter, with both a Southern breakfast concept and a Southern fried chicken concept joining the list of franchising restaurants in winter 2021, along with a cocktail bar, Indian street food concept, and more restaurants. We have rounded up six small and mid-sized chains that either just announced franchising or are expanding their franchising reach this quarter.

With the COVID-19 vaccine distribution well underway and rates dropping since the third wave spiked in early January, we assume that it will only be a matter of time before the restaurant industry (and franchising competition) gets back to a more normalized pace. Until then, take a look at who’s franchising now.
