Chefs on the Move: A new gig for Janine Booth and Jeff McInnis

Plus Fuzzy’s Taco Shop’s new culinary leader and appointments at hotels across the country

Janine Booth and Jeff McInnis, the husband-and-wife team behind Root & Bone in Miami and Indianapolis (their New York City location has closed), are putting down deeper roots in Puerto Rico, where they already head up Roots Coastal Kitchen in Rio Grande. Now they’re lending their talent to another Wyndham property in the southeast of the island, which is currently being renovated. They’re collaborating with chef Julio Cartagena on the new Trova Coastal Kitchen, which will highlight local ingredients and customs.

Other hotels with new chefs include The Ritz-Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara, the Hôtel Swexan in Dallas, Kimpton The Rowan Palm Springs, the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort in Honolulu, Detroit Foundation, The Maker Hotel in Hudson, N.Y, Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif., AC Capitol Hill/Navy Yard Hotel in Washington, D.C., Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., and the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk.

There’s also a new chef at Benoit in New York City, the Perez Art Museum in Miami, and Fort Worth, Texas-based chain Fuzzy’s Taco Shop.
