More casual dining restaurants, particularly large chains, have jumped on the prix fixe bandwagon, offering a set number of courses (usually an appetizer, entrée and dessert) for a flat price, sometimes with choices in each category. With a little planning and some ingenuity, independents can get in on the game, too.​
