As a Tax Day special, participating Farmer Boys locations will offer two Breakfast Burritos or two Double Big Cheeseburgers for $10.40 all day long on Monday, no coupon required. Farmer Boys is based in Riverside, Calif., with 92 units in California and Nevada.
The Florida-based barbecue chain will please tax filers on Monday with its Ribs Special, or IRS. The Tax Day special includes half-priced Sweet and Smokey or House Dry-Rubbed St. Louis Ribs with two sides and bread. Sonny’s is based in Orlando, Fla., with 100 units.
The 1933 Group, which operates a variety of bars, will offer $1 Tax Day cocktails on Monday across its portfolio of Los Angeles concepts: Idle Hour, Highland Park Bowl, Harlowe, Sassafras Saloon, Bigfoot West, Bigfoot Lodge, La Cuevita, Thirsty Crow and Oldfield’s Liquor Room.
The quick-service Bruegger’s Bagels chain is offering a “deduction” on its Big Bagel Bundle for tax filers. The package, which includes 13 bagels and two tubs of cream cheese, will be available for $10.40 through Monday.
Mici Handcrafted Italian, a five-unit fast-casual restaurant based in Denver, will use a workaround to take the tax off of all dine-in, carry-out and delivery orders on Monday. Since Mici is legally required to charge sales tax, the brand will trim 8%, Denver’s combined sales tax rate, from guests’ meal checks. Patrons must mention or use the online code “TAXDAY19” to redeem the “tax-free” special.
The quick-service Hot Dog on a Stick brand will give away one free Original Turkey or Veggie Dog to all customers on Monday, no purchase or proof of completed taxes necessary. Hot Dog on a Stick is based in Atlanta with about 70 U.S. locations.
The fast-casual Sajj Mediterranean is offering $5 off on all orders placed on the Sajj Street Eats smartphone application through Monday to fuel their customers before they file. Sajj is based in San Francisco with nine locations.
The Schlotzsky’s fast-casual brand will treat guests to one free small The Original sandwich with the purchase of a medium-sized drink and chips on Monday. Schlotzsky’s, owned by Atlanta-based Focus Brands, has 350 restaurants.
Hardee’s, owned by CKE Restaurants Holdings Inc., will give away one free Made From Scratch Sausage biscuit on Monday between 7 to 10 a.m. local time to any customer that uses the phrase “Made From Scratch.” Hardee's is based in Franklin, Tenn., and has over 1,800 restaurants across the Southeast and Midwest.
