Restaurants add excitement to National Pi Day

Even grocery stores are joining in on the mathematical fun. On March 14, Whole Foods Market will take $3.14 off all varieties of large bakery pies and large take-and-bake pizzas, so customers can grab pies to celebrate Pi Day at home.

Dallas-based Norma’s Cafe chose a charitable approach to Pi Day this year. On March 14, the restaurant’s four locations will donate a portion of pie sales to the robotics team at the local School for the Talented and Gifted. The proceeds will help cover the team’s materials, cost of competitions and travel to the Texas State Competition in the fall.

Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza, a Pasadena, Calif.-based fast-casual concept with over 180 units nationwide, will serve diners customized artisanal pizza pies at just $3.14 each. The special is available at any Blaze Pizza location across the country on March 14. The company will also be sharing "behind-the-scenes" Pi Day coverage on Facebook Live and Snapchat, offering viewers a chance to win free pizza.

Bertucci’s
Bertucci’s

Italian restaurant Bertucci’s, which has locations across the Northeast, will offer a Pi Day deal. Customers who buy any of their large brick-oven pizzas can get an additional small pizza for $3.14. The special will run from March 14 to March 16 at any local Bertucci’s.
