Creating signature drinks means paying attention to details, and that’s what mixologist Holly Zack of The Wallace in Culver City, CA, did when she developed cocktails to complement chef Michael Teich’s original vegetarian dishes. The Vice Versa stirred tequila cocktail is a signature sip to accompany the chef’s Sprouting Broccoli dish, while the Early Ace cocktail is a match for the soy, sesame and lime flavors of the Shisito Peppers specialty.
Meanwhile, bartender Matt Tobey of District American Kitchen and Wine Bar recently created the Copper District cocktail when he competed in the Fifth Annual Devour Phoenix Bartending Competition. The drink is poured over Angostura-flavored ice.
