Concentrics, one of the nation’s leading operators of rooftop venues and event spaces, is preparing to debut its largest such venture yet — a 56,000-square-foot network of indoor and outdoor destinations at Chicago’s Navy Pier.

The rooftop project will include two “giant” bars, two outdoor lawn spaces and an indoor event space, said Bob Amick, founder and owner of Concentrics. The kitchen will produce a variety of small plates, but Amick said he expects most of the revenues to come from drink sales. “We are not trying to be a restaurant — we are a rooftop bar,” he said.

The project will connect with another 10,000-square-foot hotel restaurant and bar that Concentrics is developing, tentatively scheduled for an early 2020 debut. The group expects revenues to double in 2019.
