Lucky Strike, New York City
Keith McNally’s New York nightlife spot, Lucky Strike, shuttered after 30 years due to the coronavirus’ financial impact. McNally himself survived a severe COVID-19 diagnosis and his other restaurants, Balthazar, Minetta Tavern, Pastis and others have not announced plans to permanently close.
The last day of service for Lucky Strike was April 15.
Lucky Strike had shuttered all takeout and delivery services on March 22 “in the best interest and well-being of our staff” according to the venue’s website.
McNally confirmed the closure on his new Instagram account saying, “Sadly, I had to close Lucky Strike for good yesterday after 31 years. Greedy landlord during lockdown syndrome.”
