Obviously, the takeout window would be key for outdoor dining and to-go while indoor dining remained closed throughout the city of Philadelphia, but they also leaned into the trendy winter accessories to maintain some sit-down dining: heated igloos.

Holiday pastry items offered include:

A French Macaron Box with assorted flavors for $12;  Hazelnut Nutella Babka Muffins ($12 for five);  a Yule Log cake ($20);  Stollen  ($18);  and an assorted Cookie Box ($20).

“You can literally get a spiked hot chocolate, bottle of wine, loaded egg sandwich, a chowder, a griddled and buttered corn muffin and a Bloody Mary for take away all at the same time. I really haven’t seen any coffee shop do or have the range we can offer.   We are pretty excited and can't wait to share our vision with everyone," said Fetfatzes.

That includes six rotating soup varieties and myriad breakfast sandwiches ranging from a Frittata Sandwich with spinach, roasted red peppers, sharp cheddar, poblano aioli and garlic bagel, to Chicken and Biscuit with buttermilk biscuit, fried chicken, hot maple drizzle.

Outside, the building was fitted with a new original art piece from Melissa Gombos, who among other projects is known for her giant cool cat mural at Wine Dive on South Street, in addition to the heated igloos for outdoor dining while indoors remains closed.

And, what coffee shop would be complete without the coffee?

The blend sold at Pivot is an exclusive blend of One Village coffee that Fetfatzes and Annechiarico personally helped create. It is also sold at Hawthornes.

All coffee drinks are priced currently between $2 and $4.50 and can be spiked for an additional $5.

But this coffee shop isn’t just for coffee. It’s also a wine shop, and offers an array of cocktails.

More than 150 bottles are sold in the shop and rotate, depending on availability and season.

The cocktail list — both seasonal warm drinks, as well as classics — are available now and include:

  • Cardi Beet — Scotch, ginger, beets, lemon, oolong tea
  • Fitz's Coffee — Whiskey, Averna, Green chartreuse, stout syrup, coffee, whipped cream
  • Candy Cane Hot Chocolate — Cognac, Poblano Liquor, chocolate, hot chocolate, salt, peppermint stick
  • Britt's Hot Buttered Rum — Rum, butter, maple syrup, brown sugar
  • Hot Toddy — Whiskey, honey, lemon, black tea

Pivot Coffee and Soupery is open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at which time the menu becomes available at Hawthornes next door.
