Restaurants stir up National Coffee Day promotions

Based in Winston-Salem, N.C., the quick-service chain will celebrate National Coffee Day all weekend with a free cup of coffee for customers from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.

The family-dining chain, headquartered in Glendale, Calif., has a new limited-time offer designed for those eating out on National Coffee Day. Until Nov. 12, customers can order pancakes in four different latte-inspired flavors: Espresso Mocha Cream, Salted Caramel Java, Double Vanilla and Pumpkin Spice.

The Portland, Ore.-based ice cream brand now serves a cold brew-based flavor combined with craque, or candied cacao nibs, in collaboration with Coava Coffee Roasters and Cocanú Chocolates.

To celebrate the special day, the sweets shop at Revival Food Hall in Chicago will sell a tiramisu cake in a cup for $8. The dessert is made with vanilla buttermilk cake soaked in espresso syrup with whipped cocoa nib ganache and mascarpone mousse, paired with an espresso.
