Location: San Francisco
Operated by: Unfurl Cuisine; founders Chris Tara-Browne and Luda Kokorich
Concept: A new American concept aimed at satisfying busy people with bold morning dishes — think breakfast burritos with bacon and bacon jam, and Sriracha in place of ketchup. GMS was launched last year along with several other concepts that are part of Unfurl Cuisine’s growing family of virtual restaurants.
“After we launched last year, Good Morning Sunshine was one of our strongest performers … not only during the early morning but up through lunch and beyond,” Unfurl co-founder and co-CEO Chris Tara Browne said. “So when we expanded hours, we made sure to keep the Good Morning Sunshine menu live all day to feed that demand.”
Menu: $7.99-$12.99. Highlights include the Chimi Chimi Bang Bang, a grilled flank steak burrito tossed in chimichurri with breakfast potatoes, pepper Jack cheese, crispy tortilla strips, caramelized peppers and onions, soft scrambled eggs, tomatillo salsa and pickled jalapeños; and The Hangover Crusher, a burrito with bacon, bacon jam, caramelized onions, breakfast potato, soft scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and chipotle mayonnaise.
