The last of celebrity chef Marc Murphy’s New York restaurants, Landmarc, will be closing on July 22, Murphy announced in an Instagram post on April 19. The restaurant, known for its accessible upscale French and Italian bistro fare, was in operation for 12 years in New York’s Time Warner Center.
“I’d like to extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude for every single person who helped build our company, those amazing people who served our customers,” Muprhy said in a social media statement. “I’d also like to thank every customer who has come through our doors — you are the true heart and soul of this operation and it’s been my honor to serve you. We’ll be serving our last meal on July 22, and I hope you’ll join us before then for a drink or a meal or just to say hello. Change is never easy, but I’m excited for what’s to come.”
In 2017, Murphy closed his downtown location of Landmarc to the public, converting it into a private events space.
Murphy did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
