With a more symmetrical opening to a new decade around the corner, we look ahead in anticipation of the food and beverage trends for the new year.

The most disruptive trends of the past decade will continue to evolve, including third-party delivery, the rise of ghost kitchens and virtual-only brands, and the consumer shift toward eating more plants in the role of protein.

Also ahead will no doubt be a whole new world of takeout packaging, eating and drinking for specific health benefits — and cannabis.
