American Tap Room, DCA
Reagan National Airport has localized its concessions, recently adding an American Tap Room location. The Thompson Hospitality-operated restaurant already has five locations in various DC neighborhoods.
Bar Symon, IAD
Concessions International recently opened a Bar Symon in Dulles International Airport. Although the brainchild of Iron Chef Michael Symon isn’t local, the company sees the bistro-style restaurant as a unique identifier, with menu items such as a Pulled Pork Breakfast Burrito and Symon’s flagship Lola Burger.

A new marketplace-style dining concept called MKT has opened in airports in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Las Vegas, Anchorage and Tulsa. The healthy, garden-fresh options represent a move to appease foodie and health-conscious travelers.
