This week's top 10: NY investigates Batali's former group and the tip credit remains legal in restaurants

This week, there was some breaking news about Mario Batali's former restaurant group from the New York Attorney General. They announced the group is under investigation revolving around the 2018 claims of sexual misconduct. This is in addition to Ken Friedman, formerly of The Spotted Pig where Batali was an investor, and his announcement that he would step back from the restaurant amid a sexual misconduct settlement with the Attorney General of his own.

Zume lays off workers and Grubhub possibly considers a sale all because a venture capital fund is itching to get into the restaurant industry, but will it help faltering tech companies?

In brighter news, apoptogenic ingredients are proliferating drink menus across the country including Ashwagandha and Reishi Mushrooms. Maybe consumers need a little boost after all the news.
