Even though the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has created setbacks for the restaurant industry, up and coming restaurant chains are taking advantage of the unique real estate opportunities to announce franchising. 

From virtual restaurants — which have become the industry buzzword of the year as a more affordable option for operators — to new breakfast concepts, we have rounded up six small or mid-sized restaurant chains that have announced franchising or have announced an expansion of their franchising model this fall.
