Waiter, There’s an Elbow in My Soup

According to a new study by Cornell’s Study for Hospitality Research, you’ll really bum out your customers if tables aren’t spaced properly. When tables were placed 17-inches apart in a New York City full-service restaurant, customers reported they were dissatisfied. In fact, they spent less money per minute compared to a setting where tables were widely spaced. What can you get away with? Space your tables a yard apart, according to the study. Your customers will be happier and so will your accountant.
