Legacy Hall is the brainchild of Front Burner Restaurants, an operating group led by president and COO Jack Gibbons and CEO Randy DeWitt. “Legacy Hall is the first of its kind, and it’s one of the most extraordinary food halls on the planet,” Gibbons said in a release. “Conceiving, designing and building a concept of this magnitude takes a lot of work – including visits to many of the top food halls across the globe – and we can’t wait to show off the results at this incredible dining and entertainment destination.”
Front Burner Restaurants tapped architectural firm Gensler to design Legacy Hall. The theme of the space plays off the food hall’s cuisine, displaying a simple and modern look with raw wood, concrete, steel, modified shipping containers, exposed ducts and pipes.
Customers can visit a natural wine and charcuterie bar, a craft cocktail bar and 20 artisanal stalls with a wide variety of food options on the first floor. Berrynaked is a vendor that serves organic popsicles and purées.
Glazed Donut Works offers an assortment of the fried confection, like a Donut Grilled Cheese with Bacon.
The Asian food stall features yakitori-grilled meats, vermicelli bowls, wraps and banh mi, a Vietnamese-style sandwich.
Press provides authentic Belgian waffles with a sweet or savory twist. The Elvis is topped with peanut butter, honey, bananas and bacon.
This vendor offers Texas-style burgers like the Magic, which is a beef patty with Cheddar cheese, bacon, tomato, onion and lettuce on an English muffin.
FreshFin is a fast-casual concept that serves custom poke bowls.
This French café-inspired stall has a menu centered on savory and sweet crepes, sandwiches and quiches.
The main seating area of Legacy Hall is on the second floor and can accommodate 250 or more customers.
In addition to seating, the second floor is also home to Sea Breeze Lobsta’ & Chowda’ House, as well as the Good View Bar, an indoor and outdoor bar.
Legacy Hall’s third floor houses Unlawful Assembly Brewery & Tap Room, a fully functioning craft brewery that offers pub fare and a rotation of seasonal beers on tap. Starting in January, Unlawful Assembly start distributing its beers in cans offsite.
Customers can get a view of the tap room, which will host private parties and live acoustic music shows. Unlawful Assembly will also make the brewery available for tours and tastings.
Legacy Hall will have an outdoor space located on the first floor, adjacent to the food hall, that will open in spring 2018. The courtyard will have a capacity for more than 1,500 people and be home to Carlton Provisions BBQ, several bars, rotating pop-ups and a Hawaiian shaved ice stand. At the center of the Box Garden, there will be a 600-square-foot event stage with an LED screen.
