Restaurants rally to help hurricane victims

Union Square Hospitality Group

Throughout September, each Union Square Hospitality restaurant is featuring a “Tito’s Texas Relief” cocktail, in partnership with Texas-based Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Ten dollars from each cocktail will benefit hurricane relief efforts through the Houston Food Bank.

All Zoës Kitchen locations are accepting donations at checkout. The money donated will go to the American Red Cross.

In celebration of its 46th birthday, on Oct. 3, Schlotzsky’s is offering their Original sandwich for just $1.99, with all proceeds going to Hurricane Harvey relief. 

McDonald’s

McDonald’s Corp. has committed to donating a total of $2 million to the American Red Cross in support of hurricane relief efforts. The company is also matching employee contributions up to $250,000.

Buffalo Wild Wings
Buffalo Wild Wings

Through Sunday, Sept. 17, participating Buffalo Wild Wings locations are matching in-restaurant donations from guests, up to $100,000. The money will go to the American Red Cross.

Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group

Del Frisco’s, which is based in Texas, has donated $805,000 to the Houston Food Bank. From Aug. 31 to Sept. 4, the company also donated 20 percent of sales at all locations nationwide.

Throughout the month of September, $1 from each Goodnight Burger sold at Hopdoddy will benefit Hurricane Harvey relief.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

Dickey’s, which is based in Texas, is accepting donations at all locations nationwide through Sept. 15. Roland Dickey, Jr. and Laura Rea Dickey are personally matching up to $25,000. Dickey’s also hosted a blood drive in Dallas on Sept. 8, with $2 pulled pork sandwiches for participants.

Pei Wei Asian Eatery, which is based in Texas, delivered food to shelters in Houston. The company also pledged a $10,000 donation to The JJ Watt Foundation to support flood victims, and invited all Houston-area first responders to eat free from Sept. 2 to Sept. 8.

Jersey Mike’s Subs

Through Sept. 17, participating Jersey Mike’s locations are donating $1 to Texas food banks for every regular sized #7 turkey breast and provolone sub sold. The company is also handing out cards nationwide offering a free sub for a $2 donation to food banks in areas affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The cards are being handed out throughout September and can be redeemed at participating locations through Dec. 1.

Whataburger
Whataburger

Whataburger has pledged $1 million to the Whataburger Family Foundation to assist employees impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The company has also pledged $150,000 to the American Red Cross, and $500,000 to local food banks.

Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar

Throughout the month of September, guests at Boston’s locations nationwide can round up their bills to the nearest dollar, with proceeds going to the JJ Watt Foundation.

Hooters
Hooters

Throughout the month of September, guests at participating Hooters locations can round up their checks or make a donation to benefit the American Red Cross. Hooters is matching donations up to $100,000. Hooters is also donating $1 for every order made on their mobile app, up to $50,000.
