The fast-casual chain will celebrate Mardi Gras with a dine-in promotion: free Fat Fries with any purchase. Fatburger is owned by Los Angeles-based Fat Brands Inc. and has more than 70 locations.
The Jersey City beer garden started its Mardi Gras festivities early on Feb. 21 and will keep the party going through Sunday with a menu of New Orleans-inspired dishes such as po’ boys, seafood gumbo and beignets.
Starting Friday through Tuesday, Landry’s Seafood House, a 17-unit chain owned by Houston, Texas-based casual-dining operator Landry’s Inc., is running a Mardi Gras social media contest. To participate, patrons must follow the brand on Instagram, visit a location in Mardi Gras attire and post a selfie with their “krewe,” or group, and share the photo on Instagram with the hashtag #landryskrewe. The first-place prize is a two-night stay at The Golden Nugget in Las Vegas as well as airfare for two and ground transportation from the airport to the casino and back. The second-place and third-place prizes are a $100 and $50 Landry’s gift card, respectively.
This Schaumburg, Ill., concept from Chicago-based restaurant group Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises is ringing in Mardi Gras with a special maki roll: The Crazy Cajun Roll. The holiday limited-time offer, available Friday through Tuesday, features shrimp tempura, cucumber, spicy crawfish and lime zest. Tokio Pub will also host happy hour all day on Tuesday.
Oyster Bah, another Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises restaurant located in Chicago, will cook up a shrimp boil and a lobster boil — both with sausage and corn on the cob — on Tuesday to celebrate Mardi Gras.
The Dallas-based fast-casual brand, owned by Front Burner Restaurants L.P., will release a Mardi Gras-themed version of its Weekly Taco Feature, or WTF. The taco is composed of fried alligator, house “shred” (a slaw of Napa cabbage, red cabbage, carrots and red onion tossed in a Creole vinaigrette), chipotle crema, corn pico de gallo and micro cilantro — all on a housemade hibiscus corn tortilla. The holiday special will be available at all 10 Velvet Taco locations starting March 4 through March 10.
