Those celebrating National Ice Cream Month this July, the quick-service operator is offering a free small Blizzard Treat on its new mobile app. Anyone who downloads and registers on the app can enjoy any Blizzard Treat, like the Oreo Firework Blizzard Treat, this month’s special flavor. Dairy Queen is based in Minneapolis with more than 6,800 stores.
This Boston spot has put a new dessert on the menu for National Ice Cream Month: a shareable ice cream sundae. The sweet treat is made with one scoop of vanilla ice cream, one scoop of chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, crumbled Ritz crackers, whipped cream and a cherry. The sundae is priced at $6.
Ahead of National Ice Cream Day on July 15, the quick-service chain has launched new Freak Shakes, overloaded versions of its Sundae Shakes. Now through July 31, customers can order any of the three Freak Shakes: the Oreo ‘n Cookies Freak Shake — an Oreo Cookies ‘n Cream milkshake topped with ice cream, hot fudge, whipped topping, a slice of Oreo Cookies ‘n Cream Polar Pizza, a sugar cone, a cherry and Oreo cookie pieces; the Unicorn Freak Shake — a Cotton Candy milkshake topped with ice cream, cotton candy, rainbow sour candy strips, a sugar cone, a cherry, rainbow sprinkles, marshmallow garnish and whipped topping; and the Donut Shop Freak Shake — a Jamoca Almond Fudge milkshake topped with ice cream, hot fudge, whipped topping, a doughnut and Munchkins from Dunkin’ Donuts, a sugar cone, a cherry and rainbow sprinkles. Baskin-Robbins is based in Canton, Mass., with over 7,900 locations across 54 countries.
The concept will launch its new Hummus Ice Cream at its Chelsea store on July 15 as a nod to National Ice Cream Day. The treat will come in four different flavors: chocolate, cookies and cream, banana and strawberry. The Hummus Ice Cream will become available at all other locations on August 1. The Hummus and Pita Co. currently operates three locations in New York City.
The fast-casual pizza concept will embrace the spirit of National Ice Cream Day by offering patrons a free scoop of gelato on July 15. Those who share their experience on social media with the hashtag #ypfreegelato will have a chance to win free gelato for a year. Your Pie is based in Athens, Ga., and operates over 50 units across the U.S.
For Yogurtland’s first celebration of National Ice Cream Day, all U.S. stores will offer a buy-one, get-one-free deal from 1 to 6 p.m. on July 15. The chain added ice cream to its menu last year and will serve the dessert in five varieties on the special day: Rich Chocolate Ice Cream, Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Malt Ball Ice Cream Made With Whoppers, Butter Pecan Light Ice Cream and Oreo Cookies and Crème Ice Cream. Yogurtland is based in Irvine, Calif., with more than 320 units across the U.S., Australia, United Arab Emirates, Guam, Myanmar, Oman, Singapore, Thailand and Venezuela.
This weekly indoor and outdoor market in New York City will throw its third annual Ice Cream Blizzard on July 15.
The special event will feature local ice cream vendors serving a wide variety of different ice cream creations, such as rolled ice cream from Minus Celsius Ice Cream.
Dolce Brooklyn is another vendor that will be present at Grand Bazaar NYC’s Ice Cream Blizzard. The brand will offer its artisanal gelato.
Melt Bakery will serve cookie ice cream sandwiches at the event.
The Ice Cream Blizzard on July 15 will also feature “unicorn” ice cream in fish-shaped waffle cones from Taiyaki NYC.
For the special day, Carvel will treat guests to a buy-one, get-one-free offer on any size of its soft-serve in any flavor. Atlanta-based Carvel has more than 400 stores.
National Ice Cream Day fans can enjoy spiked shakes at Maillard Tavern. The Chicago spot offers the boozy sip in several different flavors, such as Maple Bacon, which includes vanilla ice cream, bacon, bourbon and Angostura bitters. Each spiked shake is priced at $13.
