Eleven Madison Park: Ready for its close up

Make It Nice worked with Allied Works Architecture on the renovation, which did both the architectural and the interior redesign, including new chairs, banquettes, carpeting, flooring, light fixtures and plateware. The main dining room was once the lobby of the art deco Metropolitan Life building.

The restaurant offers a $295 tasting menu in the dining room featuring eight to 10 courses, with the option of a $175 wine pairing, or a $275 pairing with reserve wines. The bar offers a more-abbreviated $155 tasting menu. The wine program includes some 4,000 selections, as well as more than 200 beers.

Commissioned art throughout the restaurant includes pieces from artists Olympia Scarry, Rita Ackermann and Daniel Turner, as well as wall drawing by Sol Lewitt in a newly added third private dining room with 38 seats.

Over the years, Eleven Madison Park has earned three Michelin stars, a four-star review from The New York Times and it was No. 1 on this year’s “Worlds 50 Best Restaurants” list.

The kitchen redesign was led by Jacobs Doland Beer, including a custom Monteni range, and equipment by Alto-Shaam and Carbone Custom Metal.

A sign keeps staffers focused on the eleven “words to live by,” which restaurant officials said are inspired by Miles Davis.

The refresh includes an update of the original “four leaves” logo to accent the restaurant’s visual identity.
