Chia is a nutrient-dense seed and alternative protein source that is gaining popularity as a better-for-you ingredient. It’s commonly used in puddings and salads.

Chia is in the Adoption Stage. It’s gaining traction on menus, but is still considered unique. It can be found at independent, casual-dining and progressive fast-casual restaurants.
