Mashama Bailey of The Grey in Savannah, Ga., took top honors as Outstanding Chef, the first time that award has been given to a Black woman.

Edgar Rico of Nixta Taqueria in Austin, Texas, won the Emerging Chef award, which replaces the Rising Star Chef prize that was granted by a chef aged 30 or younger. The new award has no age restrictions.
