Amazon Restaurants confirms layoffs

An Amazon spokesperson has confirmed an undisclosed number of layoffs in the company’s Amazon Restaurants division, which encompasses a food delivery service, to GeekWire. There is significant competition in the crowded on-demand restaurant delivery market from companies such as DoorDash, Grubhub, UberEats and Postmates, among others. (GeekWire)
