Pinstripes Inc. names Rob Hense chief development officer

Eatertainment concept is planning global growth

Pinstripes Inc. has named Rob Hense to the role of chief development officer, the eatertainment concept said Tuesday.

Hense, who served most recently as senior vice president, development of Starwood Retail Partners, will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of the company’s real estate selection, design and construction, and domestic and international expansion.

Dale Schwartz, Pinstripes founder and CEO, said in a statement that Hense’s experience will be invaluable as the eight-unit concept grows.

“Since our formation in 2007, we have established a loyal customer base and have expanded our concept throughout the U.S.” he said. “We are excited to have Rob’s extensive real estate knowledge complement our current expansion plans as we continue to scale and open iconic sites throughout the U.S. and internationally.”

Prior to working at Starwood, Hense was senior director of real estate and development for Apple Inc. He has also worked in development for Crate and Barrel and Bally Total Fitness.

Based in Chicago, Pinstripes is known for its Italian and American menu, as well as restaurants that have bowling and bocce, and private-event space accommodating up to 600 customers. In addition to the eight units in Illinois; Minnesota; the Washington, D.C. area; and Kansas, the chain has five leases signed to open in Fort Worth, Houston and Dallas, as well as Cleveland and San Mateo, Calif.
