Cleaning, food safety and health protection products company Ecolab Inc. again demonstrated its commitment to the future of the foodservice industry by raising more than $75,000 for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation during an event held recently in Chicago. More than 660 industry representatives took part in this year's silent auction, whose proceeds are administered by NRAEF. The money will be used to provide high school seniors and college undergraduate students with scholarships that will allow them to pursue a restaurant and foodservice education.

"We are proud to support the National Restaurant Educational Foundation in its mission to build a solid foundation for the long-term vitality of our industry," said Doug Baker, Ecolab chairman, president and chief executive officer as he announced the evening's final total. "We make every effort to support the industry and the NRAEF, and we are pleased to have accomplished another successful-fundraiser for the Foundation and the outstanding work they do," he added.

St. Paul, MN-based Ecolab has contributed nearly $800,000 to NRAEF over the past four years.
