San Diego restaurants sued for illegal surcharges

More than a dozen restaurants in San Diego have been sued for allegedly adding an illegal surcharge to customers’ bills in order to minimize the impact of higher wages for workers. A consumer rights law firm filed the lawsuits over the past eight months. The surcharges ranged from 2-4 percent. (San Diego Union-Tribune)
Small Maine town becomes dining destination
