Four young women who recently tried to run out on their bill at an International House of Pancakes ended up paying far more than the cost of some flapjacks. After the women fled from the restaurant about 6 a.m., the server chased after them. The driver of the Mercury Cougar they were in lost control and plowed into the restaurant, smashing through a wall and demolishing one window. No one was hurt in the accident. The driver was ticketed at the scene. The father of the woman driving the car told The Detroit News that his daughter had more than $200 in cash on her at the time.
