Nashville, Tenn.
February 2017
In partnership with Strategic Hospitality, chef Julia Sullivan and her business partner, general manager and sommelier Allie Poindexter are helping to grow Nashville’s food-focused Germantown neighborhood with a vegetable-forward, seasonal American menu and complementary wine list. Named after Sullivan’s grandparents, Henrietta Red is housed in a white brick building constructed by former Titans offensive tackle Michael Roos and his wife Kat, with an interior that was heavily influenced by Nashville’s local artisans. A marble oyster bar showcases 10 to 15 varieties of oysters from the East to the West Coasts, with an oversized wood-burning oven offering up delectable dishes and desserts such as smoked mussel toast with dill and mustard butter, and embered strawberry rhubarb sundae, featuring roasted strawberry jam and wood-roasted rhubarb sorbet.
