Housed in a historic boilermaker factory that was part of the Navy Yards ship and munitions manufacturing complex, Bluejacket features 5,600 square-feet of brewing space over three mezzanines and the Arsenal, a 200-seat restaurant and bar.
The Arsenal offers 20 housemade brews and five authentic cask ales daily. The rotating selection from Bluejacket is the only beer the restaurant and bar serve.
The structure was one of the last remaining industrial buildings in DC. Fifty-foot-high ceilings, small-pane factory windows and plenty of steel, including much of the brewing equipment, maintain a connection to the building’s origins in 1919.
The carbonara from Bailey features bucatini, slow roasted pork belly, Parmesan, black pepper and hen yolk.
The turkey club with house roasted turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, Havarti cheese and light mayo on a soft baguette.
